Invisible Buildings

Invisible Buildings
By Robert Beveridge

The passersby cannot see
brick, stone, mortar,
pipes, carpet, appliances, the one
glass wall that abuts
the street

yet still
they turn
their faces away

Robert Beveridge makes noise (xterminal.bandcamp.com) and writes poetry just outside Cleveland, OH. Recent/upcoming appearances in Dime Show Review, Communicators League, and Mad Swirl, among others.

Where do you get the ideas for your poems?

Good lord, everywhere. Often from other media—a line in a song, or a shot from a film that seems unimportant in the general scheme of the film itself, but that deserves further exploration. (This can be anything from a character’s action to a color scheme, really.)
